Two beaches in East Clare have today retained their blue flag status for 2024.
Ballycuggaran Beach and Mountshannon Beach have once again achieved a Blue Flag Status.
A Blue Flag status for a beach is an internationally recognised eco-label awarded to beaches and marinas that meet strict criteria related to water quality, environmental management, safety, and services. It serves as a symbol of high environmental and quality standards. Beaches that meet these criteria are awarded the Blue Flag, signifying their commitment to environmental sustainability, safety, and visitor experience.
